It gives me much pleasure
to welcome you to the website of the Hong Kong Institution of Highways and
Transportation, HKIHT.
Our Institution is not a
large organization but we have our uniqueness of gathering a group of
energetic professionals and technicians who are interested in the promotion
of highways and transportation business in Hong Kong,
to share and to enjoy their knowledge and experience in the common
platform.
We are not a subsidiary
institution of the China Highways and Transportation, CHTS but we have been
maintaining a very good and friendly relationship with them since our
establishment in 1999. Close and friendly relationships have also been
extended to the supporting institutions of CSHT and other institutions in the
mainland, such as Shanghai Society of Highways and Transportation, SSHT,
Guangdong Society of Highways and Transportation, GSHT, the Mao Yi Sheng
Science Education Fund, the Bridge magazine etc. Through
cooperation, we have been able to organize technical visits, joint
conferences, meetings and other activities to Beijing,
Shanghai,
and Guangdong etc. for the benefit of our members. Of course the usual
coorperation with local professional institutions, such Hong Kong
Institution of Engineers, Institution of Highways and Transportation, Hong
Kong Branch etc. have been continuing for joint activities, conferences,
seminars, technical talks and site visits etc.
We need new blood to
strengthen our Institution. On behave of HKIHT, I welcome you to become a
member of our family in promoting highways and transportation business in
the Hong Kong Special Administration Region.

本學會雖然不是一個大型組織，但雲集了公路及交通领域的精英，他們致力于促進香港公路及運輸業發展，積極交流在這些领域的經驗及知識。
本學會並非中國公路學會的一個分支機構，但自1999年本學會成立以來，與中國公路學會建立了友好關係。友好關係亦延續到中國公路學會的輔助學會及國內的其他學會，如上海公路學會(SSHT)、廣東公路學會(GSHT)、茅以升科技教育基金委员會、橋樑雜誌社等。通過合作，我們组識了到北京、上海及廣东等地的學術考察、聯合會議及其他活動，從而進一步提升了本学會會員的學術水平及專業技能。另一方面，本學會亦與香港特區的專業機構保持友好合作關係，如香港工程師學會、英国公路及運輸學會香港分會等，雙方開展了聯合會議、研討會、學術考察和工程工地考察等。
為强大本學會，我們需要不斷培養及吸納新的人才。我謹代表香港公路學會，熱烈歡迎您的加入，共同為香港特區公路及運輸業的發展作出貢獻！
